July - December 2010

Chuggington Season 2 has been picked up by the Disney Channel. Brigid is thrilled to be continuing her role as the voice of lead female character Koko. Equally thrilling was the launch of Chuggington's die cast toy line exclusively to Toys R Us stores throughout the USA.

This summer proved to be a very busy one for Brigid as she shot several on-camera jobs. First was a National/International commercial for Hasbro. She was a principle in the commercial for Hasbro's new game "Nab It" - which begain airing in September as part of their "Family Game Night" ad campaign. The spot is running across the country and the world (it's been seen as far off as Venezuala recently!). Next came a principle speaking role in a National CarMax commercial. Brigid played a saavy Lemonade-stand salesgirl offering sage advice to her "dad" trying to sell his own car. Finally, Brigid played an agitated tween on a videoblog complaining about her parents' smelly smoking habit. The PSA was for NJQuitline. See all of these spots on Brigid's commercials page.

As if the summer wasn't busy enough...Brigid was excited to make her debut on the Surflight Theatre's Beach Haven, NJ stage in August. Performing alongside her little sister Shannon in Surflight's "Tale of the Little Mermaid" was a great way to end the summer.

Moving into early Fall, Brigid was so happy to play Chef Lidia Bastianich's granddaughter in Nonna Tell Me a Story: Lidia's Christmas Kitchen for PBS. Brigid played the character "Julia" for this animated special, and sang the traditional Italian song "Tu Scendi Dalle Stelle" in Italian. She was so happy to work with Musical Director Brian Woodbury, who is the supervising songwriter on Disney's Book of Pooh and a principal songwriter for Jim Henson's Bear in the Big Blue House, both on the Disney Channel. Look for this special Holiday treat airing throughout the country on PBS this Christmas season, and speaking of Christmas...

The big news is that Brigid is starring as Susan Waverly in Irving Berlin's White Christmas (The Broadway Musical) at the historic Walnut Street Theatre, in Philadelphia. Brigid is so excited to be appearing on the same stage as George M. Cohan, the Barrymores, Katharine Hepburn, Marlon Brando, Sidney Poitier, Lauren Bacall, along with an amazing list of actors too numerous to mention. Led by Director/Choreographer Marc Robin, (Artistic Director of Lancaster, PA's Fulton Opera House), and starring veteran stage actors from Broadway, Philadelphia and Chicago, and a supreme ensemble cast and design team, this classic musical featuring Irving Berlin's unforgettable melodies and showstopping song-and-dance numbers will begin Nov. 19 and run through Jan. 9, 2011. Brigid was selected to perform on the very popular weekend shows for this holiday spectacular.

Keep a lookout (and an ear) for Brigid's voice as Koko in Chuggington's Interactive Toys released by Learning Curve Brand, Inc. early 2011. More on this as Brigid begins another amazing year!

As Mr. Berlin himself said, "Happy Holidays!!"
